Some sessions carry a little extra meaning behind them, and this one definitely did. The Sugimoto ladies wanted to capture this season of life together before everyone heads in different directions. Between dance school, finishing high school, new jobs, and all the change that naturally comes with growing up, this session felt like a pause button before the next chapter begins.
The last time I photographed this trio was back in 2021 around the Georgia Tech campus shortly after they welcomed Luna into the family. It’s always surreal in the best way seeing families again years later and realizing just how much life has changed in the meantime.
Madeline was deep into gymnastics back when we first met and is now thriving in lacrosse, while Annie has continued pursuing dance and will be heading off to Philadelphia in the fall for dance school. Watching kids grow into themselves over the years is one of my favorite parts of being an Atlanta family photographer.
Of course, the fur babies absolutely had to be included too. Sessions with pets always bring a little chaos and a lot of personality, and these ladies clearly adore their fur babies.
