Sabrina | Atlanta In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Photography

Welcoming baby Sabrina into the world felt like such a special moment to capture.

Dillion and Alyssa invited me into their home for a relaxed, in-home lifestyle newborn session outside of Atlanta as they settled into this new chapter as a family of three.

Sabrina was an absolute angel throughout the session. She stayed awake for much of our time together, showing off her beautiful blue eyes and calmly taking in everything around her. Those awake newborn moments are always so special and fleeting.

Their home was full of warmth, not just from Sabrina’s arrival, but from the life they’ve built together. Along with their mix of pups and kitties, it truly felt like a full and happy home.

Dillion and Alyssa are world travelers, having explored Europe and so many other places together. It’s exciting to think about how this next chapter will look for them, starting closer to home but eventually bringing Sabrina along to experience the world with them.

Sessions like this are always a reminder that the newborn stage is not just about the baby, but about the quiet shift into a new rhythm as a family.

Koons Family | Brookhaven Family Photography at Murphey Candler Park

The Koons family met me at Murphey Candler Park in Brookhaven for a quick and meaningful family session.

This park is one of my favorite spots to photograph families. Between the lake, the bridge, and the wooded trails, it offers so much variety while still feeling relaxed and easy to move through.

This session was especially centered around Stewie, their sweet pup, whose time with the family is coming to an end. You could immediately feel just how loved he is. As their original “first baby,” Stewie holds such a special place in their story, and it was important to capture him with his family in this season.

He was calm, happy, and completely content being surrounded by his people.

Liam was also in great spirits, balancing between wanting to explore the park and staying close for snuggles with Mom. Those in-between moments always end up being some of the most meaningful.

Sessions like this are always a reminder of how important it is to document not just milestones, but the everyday relationships that make up a family, including the ones with our fur babies.

Murrow Family | Extended Family Photography in Milton, Georgia

The Murrow family gathered for an extended family session at one of my favorite locations in Milton, Birmingham Park. Even though it was December, the weather still felt like fall and the trees and trails had just enough color left to give the photos that warm seasonal feel.

Birmingham Park is such a versatile location for family photography. Between the open fields, wooded trails, and the rustic barn, there are so many different backdrops that allow families to move around naturally while still capturing a variety of moments.

What stood out most during the session was how naturally everyone interacted with each other. The sisters clearly share a strong bond, and it was sweet to see Olivia constantly gravitating toward her Aunt Kathryn and the other women in the family.

Meanwhile the guys had their own brand of humor going on, keeping everyone laughing throughout the session.

Extended family sessions always have a little bit of organized chaos, but this group made it easy. The adults leaned into the fun and the kids brought plenty of personality, which always makes for the best photos.

Birmingham Park in Milton is one of the best locations for extended family photography thanks to its open fields, wooded trails, and rustic barn setting. See more Milton family sessions here.

Haas Family | Fall Family Photography in Roswell, Georgia

The Haas family joined me for a beautiful fall session in Roswell, Georgia after one of their dear friends gifted them a photography session. It took a little time to find the right moment to use it, but it ended up being the perfect season to capture their family of four.

Elizabeth and Brendan arrived with their two little ones, Lillian and Theodore, ready to enjoy a relaxed session by the water surrounded by fall leaves.

Two-year-old Lillian was full of smiles and energy right from the start, happily exploring and keeping everyone laughing. Theodore, at seven months, took a little time to warm up but eventually gave us some sweet expressions of his own.

The setting could not have been more fitting for a fall family session. The trees were full of warm autumn color and a small stream running behind them added a peaceful backdrop to the photos.

Elizabeth and Brendan made the whole session easy. They are such a naturally sweet couple and it shows in the way they interact with their kids. Sessions like this are always a reminder that sometimes the best family photos come from simply slowing down together for a moment.

It ended up being one of those quick, easy, completely drama-free sessions that parents always hope for.

Roswell is one of my favorite locations for fall family photography thanks to its beautiful wooded trails, soft water features, and vibrant autumn colors.

Opraseuth Family | Roswell In-Home Family Photography Session

I first met Natalie and Tyler back in 2021 when Natalie was pregnant with Miles. Watching their family grow over the past few years has been such a joy, and it has been especially fun seeing both of their boys begin to develop their own little personalities.

For this session we met at their home in Roswell for a relaxed in-home family photography session. Photographing families in their own space always brings such a natural feel to the images. The boys were comfortable, the light was beautiful, and it allowed us to capture moments that really reflect their everyday life together.

We started indoors where we were able to recreate a few photos inspired by earlier sessions we had done together when Miles was just a baby. These kinds of full-circle moments are always special to document.

And of course we couldn’t forget a few photos with their very patient and photogenic fur baby.

In-home family sessions are lovely because they allow families to capture genuine moments in a space that already holds so many memories.

Lucy & Eric | Roswell Family Photography

This was my first time working with Lucy and her family and we met up on a beautiful fall afternoon near Roswell Mill in Roswell.

Lucy and her husband Eric brought their boys Michael, who is three, and Aiden, who is one and a half. Both sets of grandparents joined the session along with Lucy’s brother, making it a full extended family gathering.

It was a little chilly that afternoon so we took a few quick jacket breaks in between photos, but everyone was a great sport. Michael and Aiden started out a little shy but it didn’t take long for their personalities to come through. Michael had plenty of spunk and Aiden kept everyone moving as toddlers tend to do.

Roswell Mill is always a great location for family photos with the wooded trails and river nearby, especially in the fall when the light filters through the trees.

Thigpen Family | Canton Family Photography at Sunset

The Thigpens are our neighbors and Hayes is only about six months older than our little boy, so this session felt a little extra fun and personal. They were kind enough to volunteer as my test family for a new photo spot I had been wanting to try in Canton.

The location required a short hike down to reach it, but the views were absolutely worth it. The open landscape and rolling hills made for a beautiful backdrop, especially as the sun started dropping toward the horizon.

Hayes was hamming it up for the camera for a while, though as any toddler parent knows, we were ultimately working on toddler time. Once he decided he was done with photos, Brittany and Sarah were kind enough to give me a few quiet moments to capture some portraits of just the two of them.

By the end of the session the sunset gave us soft pink skies that made the whole adventure feel worth the hike.

Canton has some hidden gems for family photography, especially when you are willing to hike a little for views like this.

Hoffman Family | In-Home Extended Family Photography in Kennesaw

I met up with the Hoffman family at Allen’s parents’ home in Kennesaw for an extended family session. These gatherings are always special because they bring several generations together in one place.

Allen and Ashley were there with their kids Agatha, born in 2019, and Arthur, born in 2022. Allen’s sister and her family joined as well, along with Allen’s parents who hosted everyone at their home.

Arthur made it pretty clear early on that photos were not high on his list that day, but we still managed to capture a few quick smiles. Marshmallows turned out to be the secret ingredient that helped turn things around for a moment.

Before wrapping up we grabbed a few last photos with Allen’s parents and their dog, who was more than happy to shower Grandma with kisses while we took a few final portraits.

Extended family sessions like this are a great way to document multiple generations together, especially when everyone is gathered at home.

Fay Family | Piedmont Park Fall Family Photography in Atlanta

I met up with the Fay family for a fall session in Piedmont Park with Jessica, Richard, their son William, and Jessica’s father William who joined us for the evening.

I first worked with the Fays back in 2017 when little William was celebrating his first birthday. Seeing him now at nine years old was one of those reminders of how quickly time moves. The same sweet family dynamic is still there, just a bit taller and with a few more stories to tell.

Jessica and Richard have known each other since high school and that history really shows. There is an ease between them that makes photographing their family feel natural. Jessica’s dad also joined the session and it was fun hearing about some of his travels around the world while we walked through the park.

We caught Piedmont Park right at sunset with the Midtown skyline in the background and fall color filling the trees. A perfect evening for photos and a great chance to reconnect with a family I have enjoyed working with for years.

Piedmont Park is one of the most popular locations for family photography in Atlanta thanks to its skyline views and beautiful open space.

The Crumbaugh Family | Piedmont Park Family Photography

I met up with the Crumbaugh family in Piedmont Park for a fall session with Lindsey, Elliott, Wesley, Grace, and their babysitter Jenny who joined in to help keep things running smoothly.

With Wesley and Grace at the center of it all, there was plenty of energy and personality throughout the session. The kids were full of movement, laughs, and curiosity as we walked through the park.

The timing could not have been better. We caught that beautiful fall sunset lighting with the Midtown skyline sitting perfectly in the background. Piedmont Park always delivers when it comes to classic Atlanta scenery.

A fun evening with a great crew and the kind of light photographers always hope for.

Piedmont Park is one of my favorite spots for family photography in Atlanta. You can see more Atlanta family photography sessions here.
