It was so fun getting to work with the Schulze family again, this time for the arrival of little brother Parker.
The last time I saw them was for Jameson’s newborn session, and now he is officially in the big brother role. I love getting to photograph families as they grow because each session becomes part of a bigger story. First baby, second baby, new sibling dynamics, tiny newborn details. It all changes so fast.
For Parker’s newborn session, we even got to bring back the Harry Potter-themed mobile with the winged keys, which was such a fun callback to Jameson’s session. I love when families include personal details like that. It makes the photos feel more connected to their story instead of just “here is a cute baby on a blanket.” Although, to be clear, cute babies on blankets are also very welcome.
In-home newborn sessions are perfect for this stage because they keep things relaxed and comfortable. No packing up the newborn, no rushing out the door, and big siblings can take breaks when needed.
Parker was such a sweet addition to this family, and it was an honor to document another newborn season for the Schulzes.
