There's no specific timeline for booking engagement photos. Some couples schedule right after getting engaged, while others wait until closer to their wedding. My edited galleries are typically delivered within 2–4 weeks, so keep that in mind if you're planning to use your photos for save-the-dates or a wedding website. If you need a quicker turnaround, just let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Atlanta has plenty of great spots for engagement photos, from Piedmont Park and Jackson Street Bridge for those iconic Atlanta skyline views to quieter parks, wooded trails and open fields around Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell.

We can also do an in-home couples session if you want something more personal and a real look at your everyday life together. The best location depends on your style and the kind of photos you want. I'll help you narrow it down, so you don't have to spend hours Googling locations.

Start with something you feel comfortable and confident wearing. Coordinating colors usually photograph better than perfectly matching outfits. I recommend avoiding large logos, busy patterns and anything you'll spend the entire session adjusting.

Join the club. I'm awkward in front of the camera, too, so I get it. Most couples tell me they don't know how to pose or what to do with their hands. That's my job.

I'll give you enough direction so you aren't standing there wondering what to do, but I won't force you into stiff, unnatural poses. We'll walk, talk, laugh and occasionally pretend I'm not following you around with a camera.

The best natural light is usually during golden hour, the hour or so before sunset. The light is softer, warmer and generally more flattering.

But I'm also a big fan of overcast skies, which give us beautiful, even lighting and more flexibility with locations. We'll choose a session time based on the season, location and lighting conditions.

My mini sessions are 20–30 minutes, while full sessions last approximately 45–60 minutes.

A mini session works well if you want a quick session with one location and outfit. A full session gives us more time to explore, change outfits if you'd like and get a wider variety of photos. It really comes down to what you're looking for.

Absolutely. You don't need a ring or a wedding date to have professional photos together.

I photograph couples celebrating anniversaries, dating milestones or simply wanting updated photos that aren't selfies. Whether you've been together six months or twenty years, you don't need a special occasion to book a couples photography session.

Always yes, as long as the location allows dogs. Pets are part of the family, and I'm happy to include them in your couples or engagement photos.

We'll work your dog into the session naturally, whether that's walking together, getting a few family portraits or capturing some candid moments of your furbaby.

For full sessions, we can usually work in an outfit change or explore different spots within the same general location.

If you're hoping to photograph at two completely separate locations, let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Mini sessions are shorter, so I recommend sticking with one outfit and one location to make the most of our time.

We'll keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session. A little cloud cover is actually ideal for photography, so don't panic if the sun isn't out.

If we're expecting heavy rain or weather that makes an outdoor session miserable, I'm always happy to reschedule. There's no additional fee for rescheduling due to weather. I'd rather move your session than have you standing in the rain pretending you're having a great time.

My couples and engagement photography sessions start at $425 for a mini session, which includes 20–30 minutes and at least 20 edited digital images.

Full sessions are $625 and include 45–60 minutes and at least 50 edited images. Both include color and black-and-white edits with print rights.
