Every once in a while, a studio setup is just too good to pass up.

When I saw this Woodstock indoor studio filled with gorgeous spring flower installations, I immediately knew it was the perfect excuse to do Mommy & Me mini sessions, something I’ve never offered.

These sessions ended up being such a sweet mix of familiar faces from families I’ve photographed over the years along with a few close friends too. One of my favorite parts was seeing how differently everyone styled their sessions with every single family looking perfectly at home amongst the flowers.

Mini sessions always move quickly, but there’s something special about documenting moms actually stepping into the frame with their children instead of staying behind the camera. The little hugs, clingy toddler moments, shy smiles, chaos between siblings, and tiny hands wrapped around mom always end up being the moments families treasure most later.

The flower installations gave everything such a soft, timeless spring feel without having to worry about unpredictable Georgia weather, muddy fields, or pollen-covered toddlers.

Honestly, I already know I’m going to be tempted to bring these back sooner than planned.
