Georgia weather tried to win this one.
We originally had to move Denise and Joel’s family session because of the ever-changing forecast, but honestly, the reschedule worked out perfectly. The second session date gave us gorgeous overcast skies and cooler temperatures, which made for such a relaxed morning outdoors in Rope Mill Park in Woodstock.
Alexander was being his naturally adorable self the entire session. It’s always so special getting to photograph returning families and seeing just how much little ones have changed since the last time I saw them. The last time I photographed this trio, Alexander was only around 10 months old, so seeing his personality fully come through this time was such a fun reminder of how quickly these stages fly by.
He had the sweetest expressions, lots of curiosity, and the perfect mix of toddler energy and snuggly moments with mom and dad.
Denise and Joel are just one of those families that make sessions feel easy. Calm, sweet, relaxed, and completely focused on enjoying time together instead of stressing over perfection. Those always end up being my favorite sessions because the photos naturally reflect the connection instead of feeling overly posed.
Rope Mill Park continues to be one of my favorite areas for family photography because the wooded trails and soft greenery photograph beautifully year-round, especially on cloudy evenings like this one.
